Born 11-21, in Europe, grew up in Buffalo, New York and now with all his heart claims Denton, Texas as his home. Self-taught guitarist Lui K has been influenced by some of the Greatest in the business, at a very early age i.e., Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, BB King, and growing into the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughan, Eric Clapton, ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix, Tommy Castro, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blackfoot, Buddy Guy, VanZant, Albert King, and many many more. Some of the previously mentioned names, He even has had the pleasure of meeting and sitting down with to pick thier brains for advice. If there is one thing that he takes to heart, as he say's "This is the Entertainment Business, you are hired to entertain, not to stand around and muddle through it!!!!!! Show energy and have fun with what you're doing! I don't like bands that just stand around and play, it's like they are at a funeral or something, quit doing Huddle time in between songs to figure out what you're gonna play next! In today's economy I want to give everyone their moneys worth even if they don't pay a cover at the door." This is why we at Star K Productions really love him and "HE BRINGS IT EVERY TIME". It doesn't matter to him if its three people or three thousand people, he loves to put on a show and leave you asking for more. One minute he is on stage singing and the next he is on a bar top or in the audience playing a lead solo. We have even seen him playing a lead solo in the parking lot of a festival, greeting and entertaining them as they try to make their way to the stage area. He is one of the most personable musicians that we at Star K Productions have ever met. He loves to go all out for anyone who will stop and listen, give him 30 minutes and you will love him just as much as we do. Lui has been lucky enough to travel around the country and play in many other states and many different venues, i.e., Honolulu, Hi - The Jazz Cellar, The Mirimar Lounge, The Blue Dolphin and The Jolly Roger Lounge. Seattle, WA. - The Liquid Lime, and The Chop House. Florida - Daytona Bike Week, Coco Beach, Satellite Beach, Jacksonville to name a few. Alabama - Mobile, Gulf Shores, Peanut Festival and Alabama Slammers in Dothan, and New Orleans, La. to name a few. He has recorded with Nobody's Fault a local favorite in the D/FW area, played in a Stevie Ray Vaughan cover band called "Crossfire", he has played with Nashville recording artist Caroline Tackla in the band Territory. Some of the local D/FW area places he has performed at are The Flying Pig Roadhouse, McCarty's, Stoker's Dallas, Daddy Rocks, Hatrix, The Wagon Master, Sanger Days Celebration, Juneteenth Celebration, HubCaps, and many, many more.
